We decided to not buy the land. We hired a lawyer to look at our contract, discussed, and made the tough decision.
At this point, we just feel relieved. The contract was bad, our realtor was bad, hubby especially was having some doubts (not unfounded) about the land itself, so we are just done. I’m hoping we will get our earnest money back, but I doubt that will happen. Oh well.
We are going to take a break for a bit and regroup. We’ll sign a year-long lease again on the apartment we have now and spend that time saving money and paying off that last smidge of my student loan. Also, we may need a new car soon.
So that stress is lifted, and it is time to get back in the blogging saddle. I’ll be taking pictures of both my plant successes and failures the next couple days to share with you.
Also, I have signed up for Camp Nano. I made a goal of writing 10,000 words to get me to spend some time rewriting my novel from Nanowrimo 2012 as a short story. Turns out it was a 550 word short story. No wonder it made such a clunky novel. I’m using the rest of the words to plan a novel I have an idea for. It’s going well so far!
Ok, I’m off to get some things done around here. The stress the last few weeks has thrown me off my game and now I am playing catch-up.
